Vertical Bayonet Vaporisers
A versatile, general-purpose vaporiser built in three parts for easy disassembly, inspection and maintenance. Steam sits in a bottom chest, a removable tube bundle transfers heat to the process fluid, and a shell cover contains the vaporising fluid. Armstrong Chemtec is a preferred supplier for several licensed refinery processes, with a long history in chlorine service, and is an active member of the Chlorine Institute and Euro Chlor.

Typical range: 3″ to 48″ diameter, up to 25 ft overall height. Suits chlorine, hydrocarbons, ammonia, propane, sulfur dioxide, LPG, butane, phosgene, sulfur trioxide, hydrogen chloride and benzene, at inlet conditions above 0°C. Materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, Hastelloy C276, Inconel 600, Monel 400 and Nickel 201.
Flare Vaporisers & Superheaters
Steam-heated units built into a plant’s flare header, vaporisers handle relief liquids upstream of the flare near atmospheric pressure, while superheaters can heat the flare gas stream from temperatures as low as -100°F (-73°C).
Loadout Vaporisers
Tubesheet-free vaporisers suited to very high design pressures (up to 120 bar(g)) combined with very low temperatures (around -74°C). Their instant response from idle to full capacity makes them well suited to replacing or supplementing feed to downstream units at short notice.
Electric Vaporisers
Where steam isn’t available, electric heating offers a safe and increasingly common alternative, particularly for NH3, CO2, SO2 and SO3 duties, and in power station emission control systems. Available fully skidded with valves, pumps, controls and piping.
