Meet the Team
Lance Smith
Lance is the founder and director of InKorr, which he started after more than 25 years of global experience in the heat transfer industry. Having worked in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, he brings deep expertise in heat transfer and highly corrosion-resistant materials.
As director, Lance is involved in every aspect of the business, from supporting clients and developing processes to mentoring and growing the team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, an MBA, and a PhD. Outside of work, Lance enjoys solving problems for customers and spending time with his family.

Annie Tan
Annie brings more than 20 years of multi-international experience in the pharmaceutical and telecommunications industries across Asia and Australia. At InKorr, she plays a central role in managing both accounts and human resources, ensuring strong financial oversight and smooth internal processes.
She holds an MBA and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA). Annie enjoys exercise, Korean dramas, and collaborating with the close-knit team we have built at InKorr.

Brian Mak
Brian is a sales engineer with more than 20 years of experience in project management, specialising in MVAC systems and heat exchangers. He has delivered engineering solutions for clients across government, private business, NGOs, and higher education, tailoring his approach to diverse client needs.
His key responsibilities include project management, service sales, and parts sales. Brian holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Project Management.

Shane Halliwell
Shane is a service technician with more than 15 years of experience in service and maintenance roles across industries including mining, HVAC, food and beverage, and manufacturing. He has specialised in heat exchange technologies for much of his career and has also worked in business development and management, helping to expand InKorr’s client base and service offerings.
His key responsibilities include service and maintenance works, project management, planning and scheduling, and business development. Shane is a qualified Mechanical Engineering Fitter & Turner. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, off-road touring, travelling, and building with Lego.

Russell Jones
Russell has been working in the heat exchanger industry for 16 years as both a service technician and machinist. A qualified mechanical fitter, he also brings experience in welding, fabrication, plumbing, HVAC, and construction, making him highly versatile in the field.
At InKorr, Russell works as an on-site service technician and supports workplace health and safety. He enjoys the variety of his work, particularly the different places he gets to visit while servicing heat exchangers.

Toby Webster
Toby is a marketing professional with a background in SEO and web design. He has worked with many small businesses to strengthen their digital presence and bring their brands to life online. At InKorr, Toby manages the marketing activities and oversees the company’s websites.
He combines technical skills with creative strategy to support InKorr’s growth and customer engagement. Outside of work, Toby enjoys bouldering and gaming.

Margaret Chew
Margaret is an Administrative and Customer Service professional with more than 20 years of experience across a wide range of industries. She is part of the office administration and finance team at InKorr, where she ensures that the office runs efficiently and smoothly.
Her key responsibilities include office administration and logistics, supporting both internal processes and client needs. Margaret’s strong organisational skills and attention to detail help keep everything on track.

Bo Stevens
Bo began his career as a maintenance plumber before moving into plate heat exchanger assembly and service, where he gained extensive technical knowledge. This experience provided a strong foundation for his current role as Business Development Manager for Victoria, where he supports customers with practical insights and tailored solutions.
Bo has more than 10 years of experience in plate heat exchanger service and 10 years in plumbing. He enjoys being on the road meeting customers and currently holds a Guinness World Record in gaming.

Edison Cheung
Edison is a Mechanical Engineer at InKorr with Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Efficiency & Sustainable Building from RMIT. He has more than 4 years of experience in the heat exchanger, building services, and environmental consulting industries, with expertise in CFD analysis, product design, and performance optimisation. At InKorr, he leads product development projects, collaborates with research partners, and mentors junior engineers.
His key responsibilities include driving product development from concept to production, applying advanced CFD techniques to refine designs, and coordinating with suppliers and research partners. Edison also manages project planning and budgeting while supporting the growth of junior engineers.

Ryan van Zyl
Ryan brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the heat transfer industry, combining both technical expertise and business development. He previously owned and operated plate heat exchanger manufacturing and service companies across Africa and has hands-on experience from rubber compound development and plate pressing in China to managing large-scale maintenance contracts with industry leaders.
At InKorr, Ryan works alongside customers and the engineering team to identify and deliver the best technical and commercial solutions for specific applications. His comprehensive background enables him to understand client needs deeply and position InKorr’s offerings effectively.
